Jammu,: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has rejected the bail plea of a freedom activist Syed Irfan Ahmad in a fake case registered against him by India\u2019s dreaded National Investigation Agency.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the High Court bench comprising Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Shahzad Azeem dismissed the appeal filed under Section 21 of the NIA Act, upholding the order of the Special NIA Court in Jammu.<\/p>\n

The court said the activist acted as an intermediary in facilitating movement of militants in February 2019.<\/p>\n

Irfan was charge-sheeted along with ten others for allegedly raising funds and waging war against India. He faces charges under the black law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. A police officer, DySP Devender Singh, who was later dismissed from service, was also named among the co-accused in the case.<\/p>\n

Hurriyat groups have consistently maintained that such cases are part of India\u2019s policy to target freedom activists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir under black laws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
