Srinagar: Indian police attached immovable properties worth nearly Rs 5 crore in Srinagar and adjoining districts, as part of the ongoing \u201cNasha Mukt Abhiyan \u2013 100 Days Campaign, which analysts see as a pretext to punish innocent Kashmiris for supporting right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the attached assets include residential houses. Among those targeted were Bilal Ahmad Sheikh and Aneek Ahmad Sheikh of Larbal Beerwah, Budgam. A case has been registered against him at Police Station Saddar, Srinagar.<\/p>\n
A single-storey and double-storey house belonging to them, valued at around Rs 80 lakh, were attached. A double-storey house worth nearly Rs 1 crore was also seized at Mini Colony Chanapora in in such a fake case registered at Police Station Chanapora.<\/p>\n
Police further attached a three-storey house with attic in Jawahar Nagar belonging to Mohsin Ibrahim Naqash, valued at around Rs 1 crore.<\/p>\n
A similar property belonging to Farhan Manzoor Pandit of Kursoo Rajbagh was seized in a case registered at Police Station Rajbagh, with an estimated value of Rs 50 lakh.<\/p>\n
In Karan Nagar, a double-storey house belonging to Fayaz Ahmad Rather of Ajas Bandipora was attached. At Bakshiabad Bemina, a double-storey house belonging to Abid Hassan Dar, valued at nearly Rs 1.7 crore, was attached.<\/p>\n
All attachments were carried out under Sections 68-E and 68-F of the NDPS Act in the presence of executive magistrates, revenue officials and independent witnesses.<\/p>\n
