Srinagar: Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been plunged into grief, fear and outrage after a minor girl was abducted, raped and murdered in Budgam district in a brutal incident that has shaken the entire.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the minor girl from Galwanpora village in Budgam went missing on Saturday evening while on her way to a local Darsgah. Her family reported the disappearance to Police Station Budgam around 10 pm, following which an FIR was registered and a search operation was launched.<\/p>\n
The girl\u2019s body was recovered Sunday morning from a spot nearly 200 metres away from her home, triggering scenes of heartbreak and anger across the area. Residents said the innocent child was abducted, sexually assaulted and murdered in cold blood.<\/p>\n
Women wept openly in the streets, beating their chests in grief, while men gathered in shock and fury, demanding exemplary punishment for those responsible. Shops remained shut and normal life came to a standstill as the entire locality mourned the horrific killing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not just a crime, it is a tragedy that has shattered the conscience of Kashmir,\u201d local residents said, expressing fear over the deteriorating safety situation in the occupied territory.<\/p>\n
Senior Superintendent of Police Budgam Hariprasad K K said the case was prima facie one of rape and murder. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by DySP Headquarters Sajad Ahmad has been constituted to probe the incident.<\/p>\n
The gruesome incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with people across Kashmir expressing grief and demanding the harshest punishment for the culprits.
