The attack occurred in the remote Bhalukpung area near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, a third person accompanying the victims was also severely injured and is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. Sonitpur Senior Superintendent of Police Barun Purkayastha confirmed that the victims hailed from Morigaon district and belonged to the minority community.
