Jammu : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a massive cordon and search operation (CASO) launched by Indian forces\u2019 personnel in several areas of Rajouri district entered its fourth consecutive day today.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the joint operation by the Indian Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Police has been underway since Sunday in the dense forest areas of Gambhir Mughlan and Dorimal in the Manjakote sector of Rajouri district. Launched under so-called \u2018Operation Sheruwali\u2019, the operation also involves drones and sniffer dogs.<\/p>\n
Indian forces claimed that the operation was initiated after intelligence inputs about suspected militant presence in the Dorimal-Gambir Moghlan villages, and that contact was also established, leading to a brief exchange of fire.<\/p>\n
Since then, extensive combing and surveillance operations have continued across the forest belt. All entry and exit routes have been sealed, while several nearby villages remain under cordoned and door to door searches are going on. Reports have also emerged that several structures belonging to nomadic families have been destroyed during the operation.<\/p>\n
The operation has created an atmosphere of fear and panic among local residents, severely disrupting normal life.
