Srinagar: Authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has once again placed senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar, preventing him from visiting Budgam to condole the family of a minor girl killed in a brutal incident.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the 12-year-old girl from Galwanpora, Budgam, was abducted, raped, and murdered on Sunday. She had gone missing a day earlier while on her way to a local tuition center. The brutal killing has sparked widespread outrage across Kashmir, with political parties and religious leaders demanding strict punishment for those responsible.<\/p>\n
The Mirwaiz, in a post on X, said he had planned to travel to Budgam to express solidarity with the bereaved family but was stopped by the authorities.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlaced under house arrest early morning after being denied permission to visit Budgam to offer condolences and share in the grief of the bereaved family who lost their 12 year old girl child in a brutal and shocking incident,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
He further said that even a basic humanitarian gesture of expressing sympathy was being viewed with suspicion by the occupation authorities.<\/p>\n
