The report said Modi has cultivated a media ecosystem that avoids accountability and criticism, instead amplifying the government\u2019s narrative as unquestionable truth.<\/p>\n<p>It added that major issues, including paper leaks and even remarks by the Indian Supreme Court likening youth to \u201ccockroaches,\u201d received little or no critical media scrutiny and failed to reach Modi\u2019s ears. Modi, it said, continues to avoid press conferences where difficult and fact-based questions could be raised.<\/p>\n<p>Questions related to the RSS vision of a \u201cHindu Rashtra\u201d and its constitutional implications are also reportedly excluded from mainstream debate. The report further said the Indian media avoids scrutiny of why business tycoon Adani is treated as untouchable or why the government\u2019s policy shifts on Russian oil imports remain unchallenged.<\/p>\n<p>Experts noted that Modi\u2019s refusal to engage with independent media during recent international visits has also drawn criticism from global observers.
