New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India has strongly criticized the BJP-led Indian government-established National Testing Agency (NTA) over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET-UG medical entrance examination paper leak, expressing concern over its impact on students and their families across the country.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a hearing, the court questioned the institutional framework and temporary administrative arrangements of the NTA, observing that years of hard work by students had been put at risk due to such lapses. The bench directed the Indian Ministry of Education, under which the agency functions, to file an affidavit outlining measures to strengthen institutional capacity and prevent recurrence of such lapses in the future.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi intensified his criticism of the Modi government, saying that the future of 2.2 million students is at risk due to repeated failures in the examination system.
