Srinagar: The ongoing crackdown by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continues unabated, with three civilians arrested in Uri area of Baramulla district on vague and unsubstantiated allegations, further deepening concerns over the arbitrary detention of Kashmiris.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the three individuals were arrested by Indian troops in the Uri sector near the Line of Control. Indian authorities claimed that the civilians were attempting to cross into Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the cover of darkness and were intercepted during a surveillance operation.<\/p>\n

However, officials have failed to provide any concrete evidence to substantiate the allegations against the detainees.<\/p>\n

Reports said that Indian agencies have launched interrogations and are attempting to link the arrested individuals with so-called anti-India activities or cross-border networks, a pattern frequently witnessed in IIOJK where civilians are often detained on mere suspicion and later portrayed as security threats without due legal process.<\/p>\n

Political observers and human rights activists have expressed concern over the increasing use of arbitrary arrests and vague accusations as tools to intimidate the local population.
