Patna: A 25-year-old Muslim man was lynched to death by a group of Hindutva men in India\u2019s Bihar state after being forcibly taken from his home, in yet another incident highlighting the growing trend of mob violence against Muslims in the country.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, identified as Shahzad Ali, was abducted by several villagers and brutally assaulted before being left to die.<\/p>\n
In a complaint lodged with the police, Shahzad\u2019s wife, Mobina Khatoon, said that a group of men arrived at their home, called her husband outside and forcibly took him away. Hours later, the family was informed that he had died.<\/p>\n
The complaint said that Shahzad was tied to a tree and subjected to severe torture, including beatings with sticks as well as punches and kicks. Family members further said that cash in his possession was also taken during the attack.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s relatives said the family had suffered another tragedy only two months earlier when Shahzad\u2019s elder brother, Naushad Ali, was found hanging from a tree under suspicious circumstances. The two incidents have left behind two widows and multiple children without financial support and facing an uncertain future.<\/p>\n
Family members said that although authorities initially promised swift action and arrests after the burial of Shahzad, no meaningful progress has been made so far. They warned of protests if those responsible are not apprehended immediately.<\/p>\n
