\"\"Srinagar: Continuing its policy of dispossessing Kashmiris under various pretexts, the Modi government-imposed administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has seized property of another civilian in Islamabad district.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, police, acting on the orders of New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, confiscated a two-storey residential house built on six marlas of land in the Anchidora area of the district. The property, valued around INR 60 lakh, belongs to Aasif Hussain Khan, a resident of Anchidora.<\/p>\n

Indian police claimed that the property had been acquired through illegal activities.<\/p>\n

Indian authorities have significantly intensified the attachment and confiscation of Kashmiris\u2019 houses, land and other properties since IIOJK\u2019s special status was abrogated in August 2019. Since then, hundreds of properties have been attached or seized under various pretexts.<\/p>\n

Kashmir watchers maintain that these measures are part of the BJP-led Indian government\u2019s broader strategy to economically weaken Kashmiris, suppress dissent and alter the occupied territory\u2019s demography by facilitating the settlement of non-local Hindus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
