\nSrinagar: Continuing its policy of dispossessing Kashmiris under various pretexts, the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime-imposed administration has seized and destroyed property of Kashmiris in different areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the BJP regime’s authorities demolished a constructed commercial property comprising two shops and a cowshed of Nisar Ahmad Khanday in Chersoo area of Pulwama district under the so-called \u201cNasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan\u201d, further intensifying the crackdown on Kashmiris.<\/p>\n
In another operation, under the orders of New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Indian police attached immovable property worth Rs 22,49,046 of Suhail Ahmad Zargar in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district.<\/p>\n
The Indian police, led by the BJP regime, attached another single-storey residential house of Muhammad Yousuf Hajam in Chatergul area of Islamabad district.<\/p>\n
Indian authorities have significantly intensified the attachment and confiscation of Kashmiris\u2019 houses, land and other properties since IIOJK\u2019s special status was abrogated in August 2019. Since then, hundreds of properties have been attached or seized under various pretexts.<\/p>\n
Kashmir watchers, political analysts and civil society observers maintain these measures are part of the BJP-led Indian government\u2019s broader strategy to economically weaken Kashmiris, suppress dissent and alter the demography of the occupied territory by facilitating the settlement of non-local Hindus. Such brutal and violent actions have increasingly been used to justify the demolition, attachment and confiscation of properties belonging to Kashmiris across the territory.<\/p>\n
They have expressed concern over the growing trend of punitive property actions, arguing these measures often have far-reaching consequences for entire families and communities. They maintain that demolitions and property seizures have become a recurring feature of the administration’s approach, contributing to economic insecurity and public anxiety.<\/p>\n
Residents of occupied Kashmir, talking to media, said continued use of demolitions, raids and confiscations, under one pretext or another, has created a climate of fear, to weaken Kashmiris stance of plebiscite demand while the people worried about the security of their homes and livelihoods under such continued operation led by New Delhi appointed LG Sinha, who is one of the most communal and corrupt non-Kashmiris using Hindutva RSS policy in the occupied territory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
