Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter leader Altaf Hussain Wani has paid rich tribute to Ghulam Muhammad Khan, father of illegally detained APHC leader Nayeem Ahmed Khan, on his 11th death anniversary.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Khan was a close associate of prominent martyred liberation leader Muhammad Maqbool Butt. He endured detentions and torture but remained steadfast in his demand for the right to self-determination for the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued in Islamabad, Altaf Hussain Wani paid homage to Ghulam Muhammad Khan and hailed the peerless sacrifices, services and contribution of the Khan family to the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement. He said the late leader was a man of integrity who passed away at his residence in Pathan Pora Khore, Pattan area of Baramulla, on this day in 2016 at the age of 83.<\/p>\n

Altaf Wani said Ghulam Muhammad Khan would be remembered for long in the annals of Kashmir\u2019s resistance history.He expressed the hope that the day was not far away when the people of IIOJK would achieve their cherished goal of freedom from Indian illegal occupation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
