Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails in India and the territory.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, and other Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth had been languishing in different jails in India and the territory.<\/p>\n

He deplored that the Indian BJP rulers had deliberately arrested Hurriyat leaders on false charges to create an atmosphere of fear and terror and to silence the political voice of the Kashmiri people. Continued cordon and search operations, house raids and harassment of people are violations of human rights, he added.<\/p>\n

The statement said that by adopting the policy of oppression, India has not gained anything till date and will gain nothing by adopting such aggressive policies in the future too, and the Kashmiris would continue their struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.<\/p>\n

APHC spokesman said the BJP regime continues to victimize the people by depriving them of their houses and other properties for their affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
