Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid rich tributes to senior member of the Awami Action Committee and his late uncle Shaheed Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed on his 22nd death anniversary.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a post on X said the services of the deceased to the society and the organization are very valuable and unforgettable which will always be remembered.<\/p>\n
He said that Shaheed Maulvi Mushtaq Ahmed was a very beloved and respected member of the Mirwaiz family who was known for his extraordinary compassion, empathy, sacrifice and spirit of public service.<\/p>\n
He said his selfless commitment to helping and serving the poor, needy and common people had made him a valuable asset to the society and the organization, and his absence is still felt keenly today.<\/p>\n
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq added that Shaheed Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed was a strong advocate of reconciliation, peace and dialogue and he used to keep in touch with those with whom he had ideological differences for the larger interest of the society and the people. He said that he was shot by assassins while offering prayers in a mosque.<\/p>\n
He said that in October 1965, Shaheed Maulvi Mushtaq Ahmed was arrested along with Shaheed-e-Millat Molvi Muhammad Farooq and remained in jail for more than two and a half years, where he patiently and steadfastly faced hardships and interrogations for the sake of his ideology. Until his martyrdom, he remained loyal to the principles and ideals of the organization and continuously struggled for their promotion and protection, he added.<\/p>\n
He said that Shaheed Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed maintained the noble traditions of his elders and family until his last breath and he will always be remembered with love, respect and devotion.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a special prayer meeting was held at the central office of Anjuman Nusratul Islam in which the life, services and sacrifices of Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed were remembered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
