New Delhi: The European Union has proposed fresh export control measures on 50 companies, including Indian entities, as part of its 21st sanctions package targeting Russia\u2019s war economy over the Ukraine conflict.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas said the new listings cover more than 30 designations linked to drone manufacturing and export restrictions on firms based in China, T\u00fcrkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, UAE and India.<\/p>\n

The package targets banks, weapons manufacturers, oil traders and crypto operators in third countries accused of helping Moscow evade sanctions.<\/p>\n

It also proposes asset freezes on nearly 90 banks, transaction bans on 11 crypto platforms, and curbs on Russian energy exports.<\/p>\n

Kallas said Brussels was preparing its largest set of sanctions listings in over two years to \u201cdeprive Russia of the means to fund its war\u201d. The measures will now be taken up by EU member states for approval.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
