Srinagar: The brother-in-law of jailed Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam passed away after a brief illness in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, family sources confirmed that businessman Muhammad Rafiq Najar (68), the brother-in-law of Mushtaq-ul-Islam, passed away during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday at his residence in Tanvirabad, Srinagar.<\/p>\n

The family said that Muhammad Rafiq Najar, who had also been jailed several times in connection with the Kashmir cause, suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away at his residence.<\/p>\n

Mushtaq-ul-Islam who was released after several years in prison in May 2024 but was re-arrested in June 2024 from his residence in Batamaloo, Srinagar, by Indian police over his stance on the Kashmir dispute. He is currently languishing in Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu.<\/p>\n
