According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar said that the oppression by use of brutal acts, house raids and cordon and search operations were meant to weaken the political stance and economy of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n
He said the systematic and massive house raids, siege and search operations, human rights violations by Indian forces cannot stop the Kashmiris from demanding their promised right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
There is neither freedom of expression nor freedom of religion in IIOJK and even the right to life is missing under the huge presence of Indian armed forces in the occupied territory which is a huge threat to regional peace and security, he added.<\/p>\n
The spokesman said that India was plotting to further divide IIOJK and change its demography to perpetuate its illegal hold. This is a clear violation of the international law and the relevant United Nations resolutions, he deplored.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndia can neither change the disputed status of Kashmir as enshrined in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions nor can it force Kashmiris to accept illegal outcomes. Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory and Pakistan will continue to oppose Indian attempts of changing the demographic structure of the territory through military might,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He lamented that the condition of Kashmiri detainees, including leadership, in different jails of India and the occupied territory was very pathetic and appealed to the international community to take cognizance of the situation.<\/p>\n
The spokesman said the BJP regime-led authorities have converted the entire territory, with South Kashmir bearing the brunt, into a military garrison weeks ahead of the annual Amarnath yatra, causing huge inconvenience to the locals.<\/p>\n
Indian paramilitary personnel, equipped with high-tech gadgets, are seen patrolling roads while vehicles and passengers are subjected to vigorous checking as the territory is already the highest militarized zone in the world, he deplored.<\/p>\n
Abdul Rashid Minhas said the Indian BJP establishment wants to expand the Hindu yatra as a means of showing maximum Hindutva groups presence in the otherwise Muslim majority Valley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
