He was subsequently shifted to the District Jail Kupwara.<\/p>\n<p>Reportedly, Tawheedi was taken into custody in connection with a fake case registered against him. The Muslim League Jammu Kashmir was banned by the BJP-led Indian government in 2024. The party is headed by incarcerated APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, who has been lodged in New Delhi\u2019s Tihar Jail since his last arrest in 2015. His cumulative period of imprisonment exceeds two decades.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Indian police also arrested another pro-freedom Kashmiri, Mohammad Amin Malik, from Sopore.<\/p>\n<p>Kashmir watchers view the arrests as part of the continuing crackdown by the Indian authorities on pro-freedom leaders, activists, and organizations in the occupied territory.
