Srinagar: Contractors staged a protest against the prolonged vacancy of Executive Engineer in the Roads and Buildings Division Langate, Kupwara district, calling it another example of Delhi\u2019s anti-people policies causing administrative collapse in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, members of the Langate Contractors Association said the post has remained vacant for over two months, delaying execution and clearance of developmental works across the division.\u201cWe are facing severe difficulties due to absence of an Executive Engineer.<\/p>\n

Important files have piled up and projects are stuck,\u201d said Azad Ahmad, President Langate Contractors Association. \u201cThe continued vacancy has adversely impacted administrative functioning and slowed the pace of ongoing projects, causing inconvenience to both contractors and the general public,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Protesters said developmental works cannot be allowed to suffer because of administrative gaps created by the BJP regime. They urged the authorities to fill the post immediately so that public works resume without hindrance.<\/p>\n

Locals said the deliberate delay in appointments and governance in IIOJK exposes New Delhi\u2019s policy of neglecting basic infrastructure while pushing political and military agendas in the disputed territory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
