Jammu: Indian authorities have demolished more than 30 structures in Jammu, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in a move that has raised concerns about the impact of such actions on the livelihoods of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the demolition drive was carried out in the early hours on Wednesday near Mangal Market, behind Vaishnavi Dham and close to Jammu railway station. Authorities demolished over 30 structures, including roadside eateries and commercial establishments, spread across nearly half an acre of land.<\/p>\n

The demolished establishments had provided employment and income opportunities for several families and workers associated with the businesses.<\/p>\n

The action has once again highlighted growing concerns over the vulnerability of small traders and economically weaker sections who often bear the brunt of demolition and eviction drives.<\/p>\n

Observers stressed the need for transparent rehabilitation measures and adequate safeguards for affected families.<\/p>\n
