Washington : Indian-American lawmakers have urged the diaspora to contest elections and take a more active role in public life amid rising incidents of anti-India and anti-Hindu hate in the US.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a Capitol Hill event organised by the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi said Indian-Americans are \u201cfacing new challenges\u201d with a rise in anti-Desi hate. He told community members: \u201cIf you don\u2019t have a seat at the table, you\u2019re on the menu. None of you can afford to be on the menu.\u201d<\/p>\n
