Dehradun: The BJP government in the Indian state of Uttarakhand has decided to abolish the state’s Madarsa Board with effect from July 1, bringing all minority educational institutions under a newly created authority.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, following the abolition, all minority educational institutions and madrasas in the state will function under the Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority (USMEA).<\/p>\n

Uttarakhand has more than 450 registered madrasas, which will now be required to affiliate with the Uttarakhand Board of School Education to obtain recognition from the new authority.<\/p>\n

Under the new regulations, minority educational institutions will operate as primary, secondary and higher secondary schools and must strictly comply with the academic standards prescribed by the state government. The government has also made the teaching of the national curriculum mandatory in all recognized institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
