Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that Kashmiri martyrs are the symbols of resistance against India\u2019s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and their sacrifices will be safeguarded at all costs.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, quoting messages and statements of the APHC leadership, paid glowing tributes to popular youth leader Burhan Wani on the eve of his 10th martyrdom anniversary.<\/p>\n
Burhan Wani was martyred along with his two associates by Indian troops in a fake encounter in the Kokernag area of Islamabad district on July 08, 2016. His extrajudicial killing triggered a mass uprising in IIOJK, and in the ensuing few months Indian troops martyred over 150 innocent Kashmiris by firing bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful protesters.<\/p>\n
The APHC urged people to pay glowing tributes to Burhan Wani and other martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement. The appeal was supported by all pro-freedom leaders and organizations.<\/p>\n
The APHC appealed to the people of the occupied territory to visit the martyrs\u2019 graveyards and pay high tributes to their youth leader to convey a message to the world, particularly the United Nations, that Kashmiris are offering unparalleled sacrifices for their right to self-determination acknowledged by the UN through its several resolutions. It said that 8th July would be observed as Youm-e-Tajdeed-e-Ahad to reiterate the Kashmiris\u2019 resolve to accomplish the mission of their martyrs at all costs.<\/p>\n
The APHC said that Burhan Wani\u2019s martyrdom day would be observed as Youm-e-Tajdeed-e-Ahad on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) to reaffirm the pledge to take the martyrs\u2019 mission to its logical conclusion.<\/p>\n
Posters circulated on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp read that Burhan Wani and other martyrs sacrificed their lives for a sacred cause and it is the responsibility of the Kashmiri people to take their mission to its logical conclusion.<\/p>\n
They said the mission of these martyrs to free their homeland from Indian clutches would be accomplished at all costs. The posters further read that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was the biggest hurdle to peace and stability in the region, so the UN must take solid steps for its peaceful resolution. KMS-9R<\/p>\n
