New Delhi : A serious rift has emerged between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its political wing, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with the parent organisation increasingly concerned over the dilution of its ideological core due to the party\u2019s rapid political expansion.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has admitted that the party\u2019s aggressive growth has led to a severe scarcity of genuinely committed and ideologically grounded workers. He revealed that many senior officials now fabricate or exaggerate their ancestral links with the RSS simply to gain favour with the ruling establishment and secure lucrative positions.<\/p>\n
Experts indicate that the RSS leadership is deeply uneasy with Narendra Modi\u2019s style of absolute centralisation of power and the growing personality cult around him, which they see as a direct threat to the Sangh\u2019s traditional model of collective leadership and organisational discipline.<\/p>\n
Long-time RSS and BJP workers are reportedly resentful as the party frequently sidelines loyal ground-level cadre in favour of corrupt opposition defectors and opportunists parachuted into key positions.<\/p>\n
Analysts say the RSS is now attempting to distance itself from the BJP to protect its long-term institutional integrity from the growing public anti-incumbency and political backlash against the Modi government.
