Vague allegations make it impossible for the detainee to understand the reasons and effectively challenge the detention&#8221;, the court said while quashing Sheikh\u2019s PSA.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a single-judge bench comprising Justice Sanjay Dhar dismissed the pleas filed by four other Kashmiris\u2014Tasaduq Hussain Dar, Shabir Ahmad Ganie, Basit Ahmad Mir and Athar Mushtaq Khan\u2014challenging their detention under the PSA.<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention that the occupation authorities have detained more than 3,000 Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders and activists, under draconian laws such as the Public Safety Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the High Court has quashed the detention of a Kashmiri under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) and ordered the authorities to release him.
