New Delhi: A Muslim family in Delhi was harassed and filmed on a public road by a Hindutva activist who linked their presence to \u201cunemployment\u201d and called for state action against them.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the incident occurred on the evening of Sunday, August 16. A man identified as Swatantra Bhardwaj followed a scooter carrying a couple and their three children.<\/p>\n
In a video, he made communal remarks, calling them \u201ca family of mullahs\u201d and mocking the woman for being pregnant. \u201cSamjho berozgaari kahaan se badh rahi hai,\u201d Bhardwaj said, blaming the family for rising joblessness. He urged viewers to tag Delhi Police and traffic authorities, citing helmet violations and the scooter\u2019s registration number.<\/p>\n
This is not the first time Bhardwaj has targeted Muslims. He is associated with a cow vigilante group and has previously demanded to be made a police officer for \u201cone day\u201d to show \u201creal gundagardi\u201d during student protests.
