Srinagar: Indian authorities have intensified their crackdown in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducting searches at 10 locations across the territory in the name of investigating a so-called cross-Line of Control movement.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the searches were conducted in Srinagar, Kupwara, Anantnag, Pulwama and Budgam, further adding to the atmosphere of fear and repression prevailing across IIOJK.<\/p>\n
The latest raids have once again brought Kashmiris under intensified scrutiny, searches and questioning, as Indian agencies continue to invoke allegations of cross-border movement to expand their military operations across the occupied territory.<\/p>\n

The intensified crackdown, therefore, raises serious questions about the continued securitisation of civilian life in IIOJK and the use of counterterrorism measures to suppress dissent and maintain an atmosphere of fear.<\/p>\n
