Muzaffarabad : All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi has said that the Kashmir dispute is not merely a territorial issue but concerns the fundamental political, human and democratic rights of a nation.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a Friday gathering at the Masjid Shuhada, Zero Point, Muzaffarabad, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said the Kashmiri people have been struggling for their right to self-determination for decades and would continue their struggle until it reaches its logical conclusion. He urged India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with its historical context and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people instead of trying to suppress their legitimate struggle through military force.<\/p>\n
Paying tribute to veteran leader of the Kashmir freedom movement Syed Ali Gilani for his struggle and sacrifices, he said the iconic leader remained steadfast in his principled position throughout his life. He stressed that, on the occasion of Syed Ali Gilani\u2019s martyrdom anniversary, it was imperative to acquaint the younger generation with his ideology, sacrifices and struggle.<\/p>\n
Ghulam Mohammad Safi appealed to the people to participate in large numbers in a conference being organized on September 1 by the APHC-AJK chapter and Kashmir Liberation Cell to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the veteran leader.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, prayers were also offered for the early liberation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation, elevation of the ranks of all Kashmiri martyrs, and the security, progress and stability of Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
