New Delhi: In a horrific incident, a 17-year-old girl was gang-raped and stabbed to death before her body was dumped in an open field by four people, including three minors, in BJP-ruled Delhi.<\/p>\n
The girl\u2019s body was found near Jaipal Rana’s field on Kushak Road, police said. It had decomposed to such an extent that her gender could not be immediately ascertained.<\/p>\n
Some parts of the body had also been eaten by stray dogs, while one of her hands was found severed from the body, police added.<\/p>\n
Police said the girl was raped and stabbed inside a tempo. Two knives used in the crime, clothes worn by the accused and the tempo were recovered.<\/p>\n
The adult accused has been identified as Shivam alias Sudama alias Chuchu, a resident of Khadda Colony, while the three juveniles are aged 16 and 17, police said.<\/p>\n
Rape and sexual violence has become a common feature of life in India, with official crime data and rights groups continuing to document large numbers of cases.
