Srinagar: In yet another act of state terrorism, Indian police under the BJP regime led by Lieutenant Governor have attached a double-storeyed residential house of a Kashmiri activist in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police authorities under the New Delhi-installed Lieutenant Governor’s administration attached a double-storeyed residential house of Aijaz Ahmad in Namblan area of the district under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).<\/p>\n

Police claimed the person was involved in pro-freedom and anti-India activities, including extending support to the demand for freedom in the Kashmir Valley.<\/p>\n

Since the abrogation of special status under Articles 370 and 35A in August 2019, the BJP-led Hindutva regime has intensified its campaign to evict Kashmiris from their homes and lands.<\/p>\n

The move aims to harass and economically weaken the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian forces\u2019 personnel, empowered by draconian laws, are systematically targeting Kashmiri youth in a calculated attempt to suppress their legitimate political aspirations and just demand for a plebiscite under United Nations resolutions.<\/p>\n

Since August 5, 2019, the situation in IIOJK has deteriorated significantly. The BJP-led Indian regime has systematically attached properties belonging to activists, civilians and organizations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir under draconian laws like the UAPA. Actions are predominantly executed under the UAPA on orders from the administration headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Under Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, authorities are targeting peace and freedom-loving Kashmiris and people supporting the demand for plebiscite under UN supervision.<\/p>\n

Human rights groups, local residents and organizations, including the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, condemning the brutal act of attachment of properties, said the confiscations are part of a broader political and economic strategy to suppress dissent, punish political opposition and alter the region’s demographic makeup following the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A by the BJP government in August 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
