JKPM expresses concern over LoC killings

Jammu, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has expressed concern over the growing tension between India and Pakistan along the Line of Control and called for an end to the border tension which is claiming lives on both sides of the Line of Control.

APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman Mir Shahid Saleem addressing a party meeting in Jammu urged the political leadership of both the countries to immediately stop shelling and sort out the matter through dialogue.

The JKPM leader said that India was resorting to provocative tactics just to divert the attention of the world community from the gross human rights violations, being committed by the Indian forces in the occupied territory.

He said there can be no permanent peace in the region unless the lingering Kashmir dispute is settled in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmir people. He said that India was using brutal force in Kashmir to suppress the people’s resistance in Kashmir but would never succeed. He said the people of Kashmir were offering supreme sacrifices to take the ongoing political struggle for the right to self-determination to its logical conclusion.
