Srinagar, May 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has said that prolonging illegal detention of youth and beating people without discrimination are glaring examples of Indian state terrorism in the territory.
The JKLF in statement issued in Srinagar said that five youth Waseem Ahmad Sofi, Basharat Ahmad Najar, Ashiq Hussain Butt, Reyaz Ahmad Dar and Manzoor Ahmad Najar were languishing in illegal custody from many years.
It said that Waseem Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Koundbal area of Ganderbal, was arrested in 2016 and till date had been booked under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) for three times.
Similarly, it said, Basharat Ahmad Najar, Ashiq Hussain Butt, Reyaz Ahmad Dar and Manzoor Ahmad Najar of Budgam who were granted bail by a court recently after four years have been re-arrested and are being kept in police custody illegally.
The JKLF strongly condemning the Indian atrocities said that India had actually declared a war against common Kashmiris. It said that oppression and tyranny could never intimidate the Kashmiris into submission and they would continue their resistance against the naked fascism.
