Indian troops committing war crimes: Hurriyet leaders

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful anti-India demonstrations, today, to protest against the award by Indian Army Chief to the army officer who tied a civilian to the bonnet of his jeep as a human shield in Badgam, last month.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the President of Anjuman Shari Shain, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has condemned the honouring of an Indian Army officer who tied a civilian in Badgam to a vehicle and used him as a human shield.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi addressing a public gathering in Budgam said that the Army Major brazenly used a Kashmiri youth as a human shield which was an act of cowardice and insult to humanity. The international community, particularly, the UN should take cognizance of the act, he added. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has denounced the awarding of an army officer who tied an innocent civilian to his jeep as a human shield and termed the act as a serious crime against humanity.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, said that awarding the criminal officer for his inhuman act vindicated the stance of Hurriyet leadership that Indian forces’ personnel were involved in war crimes and were patronized and encouraged by Indian leadership. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC General Secretary and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that India has always tried to suppress the liberation movement through military might but the people of Kashmir never surrendered before its oppressive measures.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the assertion of Indian Defence Minister, Arun Jaitley, that Indian army was free to take decision in a war-like zone and said that the occupation forces had already been given a free hand to unleash atrocities on the people of Kashmir. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have called for political resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a public rally in Sali area of Islamabad district said that Kashmiri people were peace-loving and they always believed that the dispute should be settled through negotiations.

He said that escalation of tension between India and Pakistan was due to the lingering Kashmir dispute, which continued to pose a serious threat to peace in entire South Asia. »

Islamabad, May 26 (KMS): A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Refugee Action Committee led by Gohar Ahmad Kashmiri, today, met the Hurriyet-AJK leaders including Ghulam Mohammad Safi and Syed Faiz Naqshbandi at the APHC-AJK office in Islamabad.

On the occasion the latest situation of occupied Kashmir and the problems faced by the Kashmiri refugees were discussed. The delegation apprised the Hurriyet leaders of their problems. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown, marked by anti-India demonstrations, was observed in Kelam area of Kulgam district on the visit of puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti.

Mehbooba Mufti visited Kelam area after more than six months and like her previous visit in December, people observed complete shutdown and staged anti-India protests in the area. She also faced sloganeering from the victims of 2014 devastating flood in the area who asked her to fulfill her promises for their rehabilitation. »

Srinagar, May 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a body was found today near tool post, Lower Munda in Qazigund area of south Kashmir.

Police said that the body was identified as that of Maqsood Bakhshi of Numbal Mattan in Islamabad district was taken to Qazigund police station. »
