Curfew, restrictions, shutdown continue in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, curfew and stringent restrictions continue in the Kashmir Valley on the third consecutive day, today, to prevent people from conducting a march towards Tral town.

Call for the march has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to pay tributes to Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Sabzar Ahmad Butt, and other martyrs.

The situation across occupied Kashmir is tense on the third day while complete shutdown is being observed to mourn the killing of Sabzar Ahmad Butt by Indian troops at Saimoh in Tral on Saturday.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed while traffic is off the roads.

The occupation authorities have deployed huge contingents of Indian police and troops across the Kashmir Valley to enforce strict restrictions. Major roads leading to district headquarters have been sealed to prevent people from staging anti-India protests and conducting the march towards Tral town.
