Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has welcomed the concern expressed by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein, over the grave human rights situation in the territory.

Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein in his opening statement at the start of the 35th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva had said, “…..We continue to receive reports of increasing violence, civilian casualties, curfews and website blackouts in Kashmir.” »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces continue massive military operations in Kupwara and Baramulla districts.

The forces had launched the operation at Machil in Kupwara on June 6 and later in Nowgam area of the same district on June 7. Indian troops have killed seven Kashmiri youth during the continued operation. »

Reports said that the use f such radars would enable India forces’ personnel to get the pinpoint location of the youth and mujahideen inside homes in congested areas. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Army has expelled a Kashmiri teacher from its so-called Goodwill School at Sharifabad garrison for calling a slain youth martyr.

After the expulsion of the teacher, Mudasir Abdullah, forty teachers of the school resigned in protest. Principal of the school, Shaista Khan confirmed the expulsion of the teacher, Mudasir Abdullah. »

June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful demonstrations in Pahalgam area of Islamabad district, forcing Indian troops and police personnel to call off a cordon and search operation.

Indian forces’ personnel launched a siege and search operation at Wularhama in Pahalgam on the pretext of presence of mujahideen in the area. However, people staged forceful demonstrations in the area and pelted stones on the forces. Indian police and troops used brute force to disperse the protesters. However, stiff resistance shown by the demonstrators compelled the forces’ personnel to call off the operation. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has strongly condemned the recent killing of a student, Adil Farooq Magray, in the unprovoked firing of Indian troops on peaceful protesters at Ganapora in Shopian district.

The HCBA spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the Bar Association also condemns the use of indiscriminate force against peacefully protesting students in Pampore and Awantipora areas against Adil’s killing. »
