Geneva, June 10 (KMS): Kashmiri representative, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi met Ms Kate Gilmore, United Nations Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, in Geneva and apprised her of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Syed Faiz Naqshbandi told the UN official that Jammu and Kashmir was a UN-recognised disputed territory but occupied by India by use of force with massive human right abuses. Indian Government has banned 22 social web sites and Internet with the aim to hide its atrocities, he added.

He said Indian forces fire pellets and bullets indiscriminately on peaceful protesters thereby thousands of innocent Kashmiris have been killed and injured seriously. He said ambulances and hospitals are frequently attacked by Indian forces and forces are involved in target killings and torture of Kashmiri youth. He said the people of Kashmir support the initiative of High Commissioner for Human Rights of sending UN fact-finding Mission to occupied Kashmir.
