Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, remembering Qazi Nisar on his 24th anniversary, hailed his religious, social, and political contribution.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar also appealed for complete shutdown in Islamabad town on June 19 to commemorate the anniversary.

He said Qazi Nisar will always be remembered for the role he played in creating political awareness among masses and for his social welfare. “He was an acknowledged religious scholar and a firebrand orator,” he added. »

Islamabad, June 15 (KMS): The Foreign Office Spokesman, Nafees Zakariya has said that Indian occupation forces in occupied Kashmir, showing complete disrespect to the holy month of Ramazan, martyred more than 25 Kashmiris, including children and injured over 200, mostly students, using pellet guns.

Nafees Zakariya speaking during the weekly media briefing of the Foreign Office on Thursday, he said that Jamia Masjid (Mosque) was locked down and Kashmiris were not allowed to offer Juma prayers. »

Geneva, June 15 (KMS): International human rights defenders came down hard on India for rewarding an Indian army officer who tied a civilian, Farooq Ahmed Dar to a military jeep at the front of a convoy.

A human rights expert from Turkey said ICJ can look not only into Indian army’s use of a human shield but also the Indian army chief rewarding such an action, which endangered more lives.

“This legal action is possible, and is underway,” Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sukru Guzel told a Kashmir side event at the 35th UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session. Guzel is a representative of CAPAJ, an international human rights group. »

GST deceitful tactic to erode Article 370: Trade bodies

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, trade associations have announced to conduct a march towards Secretariat in Srinagar on Saturday against Indian conspiracies to dilute Article 370 that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, by extending Goods and Service Tax (GST) to the occupied territory.

Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) and Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) in their separate statements called for the march and protest demonstrations against India’s anti-Kashmir plan. »

Protest against attack on Kashmir’s special status

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, peaceful protest demonstrations will be held, tomorrow, after Friday prayers against the brutalities of Indian troops in the territory particularly in Shopian where people were subjected to severe torture and vandalism after they celebrated Pakistan Cricket team’s win in England.

Call for the protests has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik that is also intended to protest against the raids of Indian National Investigation Agency on the houses of Hurriyat leaders. The leadership in a statement said that NIA was being used to harass the genuine Kashmiri leadership. They demanded immediate release of all political prisoners.

Jamaat-e-Islami of the occupied territory, Muslim League, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Bilal Sidiqee, Qazi Yasir and Jehangir Ghani Butt in their statements issued in Srinagar condemned the harassment and beating of Kashmiri people at the hands of Indian troops. Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir in a statement denounced invoking of draconian law, Public Safety Act on its activists. »

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) continued its mass contact programme as its Chairman and Hurriyet leader, Zafar Akbar Butt visited different areas of the Civil Lines in Srinagar and addressed political and social meetings.

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing public meetings said that people would never surrender before the anti-Kashmir and anti-movement policy of India but would continue freedom struggle till taking it to its logical end. »

Geneva, June 15 (KMS): Kashmiri representatives, Shamim Shawl and Hassan Al-Banaa, have drawn the attention of the international community towards the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian police and troops in occupied Kashmir.

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed serious concern over the continued harassment by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) of resistance leader, Altaf Ahmed Shah.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar warned New Delhi over the worsening health of Altaf Ahmed Shah, whose fluctuating blood sugar level has gone up after he was called to Delhi for daily questioning following NIA’s raid at his residence in Srinagar on June 3, 2017. »

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the house of prominent Hurriyet leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori continues to remain sealed even as the family of the jailed leader lives in a rented house in Sopore for the past five years.

The house located in Chanapora locality in Srinagar was confiscated by the authorities in 2012. “Our family was evicted and thrown out on the street five years ago on concocted grounds,” Sajjad Ahmad, son of Muhammad Khan, said in a media interview. »

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that exploiting the hard work of some students of the territory who qualify certain competitive exams and parading them on TV channels and literally thrusting words into their mouth are shallow and cheap ploys being adopted by representatives and agencies of the Indian government.
