Civilian killings in Rangreth and Arwani

Srinagar, June 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, resistance leaders, Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday called for a shutdown on Saturday against the civilian killings in Rangreth and Arwani.

The Joint resistance leaders have called for a complete shutdown against killings in Rangreth and Arwani.

In a joint statement, they strongly condemned vandalizing private vehicles and ransacking houses and business establishments and said it illustrates sheer vengeance and vandalizing and looting business establishment is unjustified as they were not part of any protest.

Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik said that after the recent statement of Indian Army Chief, Bipin Rawat, forces have been vested with unbridled powers and they feel free to go any extent.

Blaming Indian leadership, the joint leadership said that on one hand Indian forces while crossing all limits were killing people and destroying properties and on the other, Indian leadership including Rajnath Singh Ram Madhu and Amit Shah were adding fuel to fire.

“We have only two options, either we have to surrender and accept their hegemony or live like brave hearts, prefer martyrdom and pursue our mission with persistence and commitment,” said the leadership.

Naseer Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Ashtengoo Bandipora and Mohammad Ashraf, resident of Kharepora Arwani in Kulgam district were killed in force’s actions.
