Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has said any threat to the upcoming Amarnath yatra is a calculated move aimed at maligning and discrediting the political struggle of Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced misinformation campaign carried by biased media of India. He said people in Kashmir, while continuing with the age-old tradition of providing best hospitality to pilgrims, have always been friendly and generous to visitors and particularly with Amarnath Yatris. »

Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash has paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Qazi Nisar on his 24th anniversary.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar hailed the religious, social, and political contribution of Qazi Nisar and said that his services and sacrifices would always be remembered.

Naqash said Qazi Nisar was a real son the soil and dedicated his whole life for the service of Islam and freedom movement and ultimately achieved martyrdom. »

Indian propaganda against Kashmiris denounced

Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed across the territory, today, against the killing of six people by Indian troops at Arwani in Kulgam district.

Normal life was paralysed in Kulgam, Islamabad, Pulwama, Shopian and other districts of South Kashmir due to the strike. The roads wore a deserted look while commercial establishments were closed. Indian army and police were deployed in strength in entire South Kashmir and Khanyar, Rainawari, Nowhatta, Safakadal and Maharaj Gunj areas of Srinagar to prevent protests against the killings. The troops had killed six youth during a military operation at Arwani in Kulgam district on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement strongly rejected the propaganda of Indian media against the Kashmiri people. He said that Indian media was trying to portray that Hindu Yatris had some threat from Kashmiri people, which was not a fact. He maintained that Kashmiris were not fighting against followers of any religion but their aim was to secure their fundamental right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, An Indian army convoy came under attack on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district, today.

The attackers fled after firing some shots at the convoy, media reports said.

There was no report of any injuries.

Traffic movement on the highway was affected following the attack.

Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Ummat-e-Islami (UeI) has said that police used force to quell a rally of its Chairman Qazi Yasir in Islamabad town.

The UeI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that strict restrictions had been imposed to prevent Qazi Yasir from reaching Jamia Masjid who had gone into hiding, however, he succeeded in reaching the mosque where he addressed a mammoth gathering. »

Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Pulwama town in south Kashmir for the second consecutive day, today, against the killings of youth by Indian troops.

All shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town while public transport is off the roads.

Indian troops had killed four youth in Arwani during a military operation on Friday. Later, two civilians were also killed in firing by Indian troops on protesters in the area.

Meanwhile, a man shot at by unidentified men Pulwama district late Saturday passed away at SMHS hospital in Srinagar.

Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Manzoor Ahmad Matoo, the father of Junaid Mattoo, who was martyred by Indian troops in Kulgam district on Friday, is all satisfied over the martyrdom of his son.

Manzoor Ahmad Matoo in a corner of a room in his modest house at Khudwani did not appear to be in a state of mourning and talked normally to everyone visiting him for condolences. »
