Srinagar, June 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu Bar Association has issued show cause notice to a lawyer for terming Pakistan’s victory against India in the ICC Champions Trophy final as a ‘surgical strike’.

Soon after the final of the Champions Trophy between Pakistan and India ended in a humiliating defeat for India on Sunday, the lawyer, Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua, wrote on his Facebook page: “It is surgical strike”.

The Jammu Bar Association issued notice to Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua, a resident of Lasana area of Poonch district, terming his post as anti-India. Janjua is presently residing in Qasim Nagar, Jammu, and is permanent member of Jammu High Court Bar Association.

“…That after conclusion of India V/s Pakistan cricket match, held on 18-06-2017, you have posted on Facebook which reflects your anti-national mindset. The meaning of your post is detrimental to the interest of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu,” reads the notice.

Advocate Janjua in an interview said that there was nothing anti-India in the post. “I am unable to understand what was anti-national in it. It was a normal post,” he stated.
