Islamabad, June 23 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has greeted the Muslims of Kashmir and the world on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in his message said that under the postulates of Islam, it was the prime duty of Muslim states to devise means and initiate steps to facilitate freedom of Kashmir from India.

He said that the question of the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir was question of life and death for the Kashmiri people as it already had taken toll of many thousand innocent people in the last two decades, while India had failed to fulfill its obligations under the international law.

He deplored that Indian troops did not spare the people of Kashmir even in the holy month of Ramadan and continued their massacre. He said that the top Hurriyet leaders were either put behind the bars or restricted to their houses and were not allowed to offer Juma prayers. He said that brute force was used to suppress the ongoing liberation movement, adding that college students and particularly females were tortured and harassed to silent their voice for freedom.

The JKPFL Chairman demanded of the UN General Secretary to help in resumption of the dialogue process between Pakistan and India to settle the Kashmir dispute.
