Yasin Malik arrested ahead of Eid, shutdown in Kakapora

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, and the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, have condemned the imposition of curfew and lock down of Jamia Masjid in Srinagar by the puppet authorities on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Wida, yesterday.

The leaders in their statements in Srinagar said that on one hand, huge expenses were being incurred and special arrangements were being made to facilitate Amarnath Yatra, while on the other, curfew and other restrictions were imposed and people were barred from offering prayers even on Jumat-ul-Wida. They demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris before Eid-ul-Fitr. The leaders also felicitated the Muslim Ummah on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer was killed and two personnel were injured in an attack on their vehicle in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar on Saturday.

An official said that three CRPF troops were injured in the attack and one of them succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was a sub-inspector of CRPF.

He said that contingents of police, CRPF and army had cordoned off the area to nab the attackers.

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, and other Hurriyet leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have extended greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, urging the Kashmiri people to celebrate the festival with simplicity asked them not to forget the victims of Indian state terrorism including orphans and widows. »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have arrested the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, from his residence in Srinagar.

The JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that a police party raided the Maisuma residence of Muhammad Yasin Malik, today, and arrested him. »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Kakapora area of Pulwama district on the third consecutive day, today, against the killing of youth by Indian troops.

The troops killed three youth during a siege and search operation in the area on Thursday. A civilian, Tauseef Ahmad Wani, was martyred when the troops opened fire on the demonstrators who were protesting against the operation. »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has said that India is pursuing Israeli policies to change the demographic composition of the territory.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi addressing a public gathering in Budgam said, India and Israel are following the same policies to suppress the Muslim of Palestine and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has expressed gratitude to the Orgainsation of Islamic Cooperation for inviting the party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, to attend the 44th session of Council of Foreign Ministers at Abidjan, Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, on July 10.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen, in a statement in response to the invitation letter said, “Though it is a big platform to highlight the Kashmir dispute and the miseries of the oppressed Kashmiris, but Aasiya Andrabi remains illegally lodged in Amphalla jail in Jammu since April 26 by the Indian authorities along with her personal secretary, Fehmeeda Sofi .” »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has strongly condemned the killing a civilian, Tawseef Ahmed Butt, and injuring of more than 70 civilians by Indian forces during peaceful demonstrations in Pulwama.

The HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced in strong terms the use of brute force by Indian troops against the people in Pulwama, Budgam and Bandipora areas. »

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Jammu and Kashmir has strongly denounced the crackdown by Indian army in Kundlan and Nagi Sharan areas of Shopian.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar said that during the operation, Indian forces’ personnel damaged the residential houses and vehicles besides thrashing the residents including women. »
