Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful demonstrations in Khrew area of Pulwama district, this evening, after a speedy vehicle of Indian Army deliberately hit and injured an elderly person.

An elderly man sustained injuries after being hit by an army vehicle belonging to 50 Rashtriya Rifles in Sharshaki area of Khrew. »

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership has condemned as political vendetta the fresh arrest spree unleashed by Indian forces against Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth across the Valley.

The leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that India was leaving no stone unturned to crush every voice raised in the valley expressing Kashmiri people’s sentiment and aspirations. They maintained that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were peacefully engaged in their struggle for freedom from Indian occupation for the last 70 years. The leadership said the international community including the United States is duty-bound to honor the commitment made to the people of Kashmir by granting them the right of self-determination, promised by the UN and supported by the US, UK and the international community. The leaders pointed out that declaring Syed Salahuddin as terrorist by the US administration was unjustifiable and regrettable. »

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has called for peaceful demonstrations after Friday prayers, tomorrow, to register protest against the US action of branding the Chairman of Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Salahuddin, as a terrorist.

The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, “This unjustified move by the US government to appease the Government of India and their (US) silence regarding the oppression and human rights situation in Kashmir is not acceptable to the people of Kashmir who will strongly protest against it across the Valley post Friday prayers tomorrow.” »

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have tightened noose around Kashmir’s resistance leaders and activists ahead of the martyrdom anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, Burhan Wani.

21-year-old Commander Burhan Wani, the architect of the social-media driven psychological warfare in Kashmir, and two other mujahideen were martyred during a fake encounter by Indian troops in Kukarnag area of South Kashmir on July 08 last year. »

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two new videos of Indian soldiers beating Kashmiri youth have gone viral on social media in the Valley.

The videos appear to have been shot by the army men themselves. One of them has been filmed from inside a Casper army vehicle and the other from a position on the road. Locations where the videos were shot are yet to be ascertained. »
