Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family of illegally detained ailing All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, has expressed serious concern over his continued detention and sealing of their house by the puppet authorities for the last over five years.

The family in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that Kashmir was the only territory in the world where an individual along with his family was ousted from his own house at Channapora in Srinagar on political basis. The statement said that the authorities could differ with the ideologies of Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori but why his family was being punished. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja has paid glowing tributes to Manzoor Ahmad Dar of Gundi Bagh, Pulwama, who was martyred by Indian troops on this day, last year.

Yasmeen Raja in statement issued in Srinagar said that the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would be accomplished at all costs. The sacrifices of the youth who are sacrificing their precious lives for better political future of Kashmiris will never be allowed to go waste, she added. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet regime has announced early summer vacation in schools and colleges to forestall student protests on the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Wani.

The Mehbooba Mufti-led regime declared that schools and colleges would remain closed for 10 days from July 6 to July 15. The anniversary of Burhan Wani, who was killed by Indian troops, falls on July 8. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) has called for complete shutdown, tomorrow (Saturday), against the implementation of Goods and Service Tax (GST) across India. The Indian government plans to extend the law to the occupied territory.

The KTMF President, Yaseen Khan, addressing a press conference in Srinagar said that they would oppose the implementation of the law tooth and nail in the occupied territory. He appealed to the traders across Kashmir to assemble at Lal Chowk in Srinagar tomorrow (Saturday) and protest against the move.

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have imposed curfew and others restrictions in Srinagar and other towns of the territory to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations after Friday prayers, today.

The authorities have enforced curfew under the jurisdictions of police stations of Nowhatta, Maharajganj, Rainawari, Khanyar and Safakadal in Srinagar to prevent the demonstrations after Friday prayers. The authorities have also imposed restrictions in all other towns of the territory by deploying Indian troops and police personnel in strength to restrict movement of the people. »

The slogans read as: “Pakistan Zindabad, Hullar Pakistan and Bandrina Pakistan (Hullar and Bandrina are the names of villages in Kishtwar) and “Go India – Go Back”. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has denounced the action of the US administration of declaring the Chief of Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Salahuddin, as a terrorist.

The HCBA spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that US administration’s move was aimed at pleasing India for economic gains. He said that the decision would not affect the ongoing indigenous and legitimate struggle of the people of Kashmir demanding their right to self-determination, guaranteed to them by the UN resolutions and by the Indian leaders through their pledges and promises. »
