Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership has called for complete shutdown in the territory, tomorrow (Sunday) against the killing and injuring of people by Indian troops in Dialgam area of Islamabad district.

The joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian forces’ personnel had unleashed a reign of terror in the occupied territory to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement. »

Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops killed four people including a woman and injured dozens others during brutal actions in Dialgam area of Islamabad district, today.

The troops killed two youth, Bashir Ahmed Wani and Azad Ahmed Malik, during a violent cordon and search operation. The troops also blasted a residential house in the area. A woman, Tahira Begum, and a youth, Shadab Ahmed, were killed and dozens others injured after the troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the demonstrators who were protesting against the operation. People staged forceful anti-India demonstrations in Dialgam while massive clashes between protesters and Indian forces’ personnel were witnessed. Dozens of demonstrators sustained injuries in the use of force by Indian police and troops in the area. Residents of Dialgam said that the forces’ personnel used civilians as human shield during the operation. Thousands of people, raising high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, marched towards Sof Shali, the native village of martyred Bashir Wani in Islamabad district. »

Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two more youth in Dialgam area of Islamabad district, raising the death toll to four, today.

The troops killed the youth Bashir Ahmed Wani and Azad Ahmed Malik during a violent cordon and search operation. The troops have also blasted a residential house in the area.

Earlier, a woman, Tahira Begum, and a youth, Shadab Ahmed, were killed and dozens others injured after the troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the demonstrators who were protesting against the operation. Eyewitness told mediamen that Tahira and Shahab were hit by bullets. The operation continued till reports last came in. Massive clashes between protesters and Indian forces’ personnel are going on in the area. »

Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, prominent resistance leader and Chief Coordinator of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Shakeel Ahmad Butt, has been shifted to Srinagar Central Jail after keeping in police station for 20 days.

A large contingent of police had arrested him from his residence at Fatakadal in Srinagar 20 days ago and was continuously in police custody. »

Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred thirty seven (37) Kashmiris including two (2) young boys during the last month of June.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, of those martyred six (6) youth were killed in fake encounters. »

London, July 01 (KMS): A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front UK-chapter met with officials of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London and apprised them of the prevailing grim situation of human rights in occupied Kashmir.

The delegation was led by the head of Diplomatic Bureau of JKLF-UK, Professor Zafar Khan, and comprised senior leaders including Mahmood Hussain, Tariq Sharif and Sayed Tehsin Gilani. »

Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that the people of Kashmir are engaged in a peaceful struggle aimed at securing their right to self-determination and linking their freedom movement with terrorism is unjustified.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the international community was well aware of the fact that for the past 70 years, the people of Kashmir had been struggling for securing their right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, July 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities imposed restrictions in Srinagar, today, to prevent protests against Indian government’s plan of implementing Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the territory.

The authorities have imposed restrictions in Khanyar, Rainawari, Nowhatta, Maharajgang, Safa Kadal areas and deployed heavy contingents of Indian troops and police personnel in full riot gear. »
