Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Amarnath Yatra on Srinagar-Jammu highway was suspended, today, due to shutdown being observed across the territory on the first death anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The occupation authorities have clamped down the entire Kashmir valley to quell the protests and rallies. Train service has also been suspended in the Valley.

Burhan was killed by the forces at Kokernag in Islamabad on July 8, 2016, sparking widespread protests in entire Kashmir and parts of Jammu region leaving more than 100 people dead and thousands injured, mostly pellet victims.
