Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Pellet Victims Association (PVA) has strongly condemned the use of pellet guns on the peaceful demonstrations in Kupwara, Shopian, Pulwama and other areas of the Valley on July 8, the first martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani.
The PVA spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Javed Mir, Raja Waseem Najar and Irfan Ahmed Malik of Kupwara received pellets in both eyes and were struggling for their eyesight in hospital. He said that over a dozen women were also injured in the pellet firing.
He appealed to the world human rights organizations to come forward and save the life and eyesight of Kashmiris from anti-human weapons used by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, Voice of Victims, a local Human Rights forum, has condemned the puppet authorities for imposing ban on internet and social media in occupied Kashmir and giving a free hand to Indian forces to crush the ongoing freedom movement.
The VoV Executive Director, Abdul Qadeer, in a statement in Srinagar denounced the use of pellets, PAVA shells and live ammunition by Indian troops and police at various places on the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, on July 8.
