Protests in Shopian against killing of minor girl student

Srinagar, July 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, several people were injured after Indian forces’ personnel used brute force during protests against the killing of a second standard girl student in Shopian district, today.

According to media reports, Indian Army’s fast moving vehicle deliberately hit the minor girl identified as Arooba and crushed her to death in Aglar Zainapora area of the district.

People took to the streets in the area and staged forceful demonstrations against the killing. Indian forces’ personnel fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters who were demanding that an FIR be registered against the Indian Army.

Reports said that teargas shells also landed inside the premises of a local hospital.
