Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities arrested seven Hurriyat leaders in Srinagar, today, after implicating them in false cases.

The Indian National Investigation Agency summoned the leaders, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Farooq Ahmed Dar and Shahid-ul-Islam to its office at Humhama in Srinagar and took them into custody. Later, they were airlifted to New Delhi. »

Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested seven pro-freedom leaders in Srinagar, today, in false cases registered against them.

Reports said that the leaders were summoned by the NIA at its makeshift office at Humhama in Srinagar where they were formally arrested. »

Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed after he led a protest in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar, today, against the thrashing of Kashmiri policemen by Indian Army personnel.

Eight policemen were injured after army soldiers thrashed them after barging into Gund police station in Ganderbal district on Friday night. »

Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful demonstrations in Beerwah town of Badgam district, today, against the killing of a youth, Tanveer Ahmed Wani, by Indian Army.

Tanveer Ahmed Wani was killed when a patrolling party of Indian Army opened fire on protesting youth in the town on Friday.

The puppet authorities had put in place stringent measures to foil any protests in Beerwah town. All entry and exit points of the town have been sealed. »

Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that if UN or any third country will not mediate, there is every apprehension that situation in Kashmir may go from bad to worse and turns like that of Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Commenting over the remarks of the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, wherein she had ruled out third-party mediation on Kashmir, the APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “India and Pakistan have failed to solve Kashmir problem bilaterally. No tangible progress was observed through agreements viz Shimla and Lahore Declaration.” It said, Kashmir is neither a bilateral issue nor a border conflict between Pakistan and India. It reiterated its stance that besides India, Pakistan, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the UN constitutes as the fourth party to the Kashmir dispute. »

Srinagar, July 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) has said that the puppet authorities have denied its illegally detained Chairman, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, permission to talk to his jailed wife, Aasiya Andrabi.

The MDM spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo who has completed 24 years in prison had asked the court to allow him to communicate with his incarcerated ailing wife Aasiya Andrabi who is imprisoned in Amphala jail in Jammu. He said that the court had denied permission observing that it was under the purview of jail authorities. »
